v1.8.0September 29, 2026
Encrypted Credentials, Widget Form Deflection & Site Search
- newCredentials you give Kelu for sources, helpdesks and AI providers are now encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- newSource visibility — mark a source's documents Public or Restricted; restricted documents never reach the widget, public API or MCP clients. Later replaced: there is no per-source setting now, visibility follows the knowledge base type, and every document in an internal knowledge base is restricted
- newWidget form deflection — answer the question when a visitor submits your support form, before the ticket is sent
- newReplace site search — the widget can take over your site's search box and Cmd+K (finds Mintlify's search box by itself)
- newWidget interface in 12 more languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Finnish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian
- newWidget event hooks and component styling options
- newSign in with Google
- newSign up with your docs URL — Kelu creates a knowledge base named after your company and adds your docs as its first source
- newThe widget gets a public MCP server when its knowledge base has none
- improvedHelpdesk tickets are claimed by one worker at a time, so a ticket is never answered twice
- improvedHelpdesk cards show delivery health and connection-check health separately
- improvedKnowledge Gaps opens View chat in a side sheet instead of leaving the page
- improvedThe crawler follows redirects, decodes non-UTF-8 pages, and runs one sync per source at a time
- improvedSignup refuses temporary and mistyped email addresses
- fixedA helpdesk answer lost in transit is posted again when the ticket shows it did not land
- fixedArchived knowledge bases no longer sync, accept new pages or accept uploads
- fixedA sync stops when its source is deleted mid-run
- fixedStep screenshots now land under the right step in answers
- fixedWidget integrations now require at least one allowed domain
v1.7.0September 25, 2026
Coverage Gaps, Knowledge Maintenance & Better Keyword Search
- newCoverage Gaps by topic — see which questions the assistant could not answer, grouped by topic, by week, month or quarter
- improvedKnowledge Maintenance now drafts answers for unanswered questions using only your own content, replacing the doc-section proposals from 1.4.0

- fixedA source's first crawl is no longer held for removal review
- fixedAsk is scoped to the current workspace
- fixedreCAPTCHA works on pages that already load their own reCAPTCHA

- fixedChat is scoped to the caller's workspace
- fixedIntercom and Front webhooks handle every inbound event type

Confidence Scoring, Custom Answers & GitHub Code
- newConfidence scoring — every answer is graded against its sources, and the assistant says so when your content does not cover a question
- newCustom Answers — write your own question-and-answer pairs as a knowledge source

- improvedConnector sync page now shows per-source item counts, last-synced timestamp, and error details
v1.2.0July 7, 2026
Persona Controls
- newPer-knowledge-base persona controls — set a name, tone, and custom process instructions for each knowledge base's AI responses
- improvedPersona previewer in the dashboard — test tone and instruction changes before saving
v1.1.0June 16, 2026
Support Automation Launch
- newHelpdesk integrations: Zendesk, Freshdesk, Front, Jira Service Management, Linear, and Salesforce Service Cloud (Jira Service Management and Salesforce are now paused for new connections)
- newAI copilot — draft replies cited from your knowledge base, in an agent sidebar for Zendesk and Intercom. Later changed: the sidebar is Zendesk only for now; Intercom is coming later
