1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kelu ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Kelu provides a cloud-based AI knowledge assistant platform. The Service crawls and indexes content you connect — documentation websites, repositories, wikis, knowledge bases, helpdesk tickets, and uploaded files — generates search embeddings from that content, and answers questions using retrieval-augmented AI with source citations. Answers are delivered through an embeddable web widget, APIs and SDKs, chat integrations (such as Slack and Discord), and helpdesk automation, based on your subscription plan.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You are responsible for the content you connect to the Service. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to crawl, index, and process any websites, repositories, documents, tickets, or other sources you connect. You agree not to:
- Connect or index content you don't own or have permission to use
- Attempt to bypass any rate limits or usage restrictions
- Use the Service to generate answers for any illegal or harmful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or underlying models
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Share client keys or API credentials with unauthorized parties; you are responsible for keeping API keys and secrets secure and for all usage made through our APIs and SDKs under your credentials
5. Subscription and Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. You agree to:
- Provide valid payment information
- Pay all charges at the prices in effect when incurred
- Accept that subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges
6. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion. Annual subscriptions may be eligible for prorated refunds within the first 30 days.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Kelu and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The content you connect, and the indexes and answers derived from it for your account, remain yours. We do not use your content or conversations to train AI models.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kelu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Answers are generated by artificial intelligence based on the content you connect and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. AI-generated answers do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and you should verify important information against the cited sources. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco, California.
