Your knowledge base, in the side panel of every tab
Kelu's browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Opera) opens your knowledge base in the browser's side panel. It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet. Ask questions about the page you're on, look up an API without leaving your editor, or pull an internal policy answer without breaking flow.
What the extension does
The same answers as the widget, in a side panel that follows every tab
Side-Panel Chat
- Chrome MV3 side panel, docked next to any tab
- Full RAG chat with citations, the same as the widget
- Streams answers in real time
- History and threads persist across tabs and sessions
- One keyboard shortcut opens the panel from anywhere
Context-Aware Questions
- The current URL / selection can be included as context
- Ask 'summarise this ticket' or 'what does this error mean' about the page
- Grounded strictly in your indexed knowledge, not the open web
- Falls back transparently when the KB doesn't cover it
- Save a page or passage into a knowledge base when you choose to
Workspace-Aware
- Signs in with the same account as the dashboard
- Scoped to the knowledge bases you have access to
- Restricted documents visible only where permissions allow
- Feedback thumbs land in the same analytics as widget and bots
- Traces record every extension query for observability
In-flow answers beat search-and-tab
A support agent lives in a helpdesk tab; an engineer lives in the IDE and the code-review tab; an ops person lives in a runbook or a monitoring dashboard. Alt-tabbing to a docs search box breaks flow — and often gets skipped, so the wrong answer wins by default. The side panel keeps the assistant docked wherever the work is happening, which is the only way it gets used consistently.
- Chrome, Edge, and Opera (MV3 side panel)
- SSO/OIDC sign-in from your identity provider
- Works alongside the Slack and Microsoft Teams bots — same answer everywhere
- Coming to the Chrome Web Store
Refund after 6 weeks?
#5120 · Open
Not as a refund. Annual plans are refundable within 30 days of purchase1. After that, a team lead can approve account credit for the unused months2.
2 sources
Answers you can check, from a system that won't guess
Every answer from your docs shows its sources
Numbered links point to the page and section each part of the answer came from, so anyone can check it in one click.
Private stays private
Internal knowledge bases have no public surface at all. To keep past tickets private, add them to an internal knowledge base.
It stays in sync on its own
Each source re-syncs on its own schedule, from every 5 minutes for tickets to daily for websites. Unchanged pages are skipped.

Common questions about Browser Extension
Chrome, Edge, and Opera — anything on Chromium's MV3 with the side-panel API. Firefox support is on the roadmap but not shipping today; Safari is not planned.
Only when you ask it a question that includes the page as context, or while the panel is open with page suggestions turned on. It never scrapes tabs in the background. Page content is stored only when you use Save page to add it to a knowledge base.
Yes. Support agents typically live in a helpdesk tab; the side panel means the AI is always one shortcut away without leaving the ticket. Answers come from the same knowledge base as the helpdesk copilot drafts, so consistency is guaranteed.
Not yet. The extension is not in the Chrome Web Store, so there is no self-serve or managed install today. Once it is listed, each person installs it and signs in the way your workspace normally does, including SSO through your identity provider (OIDC / SAML).
Yes. The side panel searches the knowledge bases you may chat in, restricted documents included. Members without Chat on a knowledge base can't ask it from the panel.
