Stack Overflow for Teams
Index your internal Q&A with accepted answers from Stack Overflow for Teams
What is Stack Overflow for Teams?
Stack Overflow for Teams is a private Q&A platform used by engineering and support organizations to capture institutional knowledge in a structured question-and-answer format. Each question can have multiple answers, with one marked as accepted. Kelu indexes this content so the AI can surface accepted answers to new questions — preventing duplicate Q&A and making institutional knowledge discoverable.
How Kelu works with Stack Overflow for Teams
Everything you can do once the integration is connected.
Question and accepted-answer indexing
Kelu indexes question titles, bodies, tags, and one answer per question: the accepted answer your team ratified, or the highest-scored answer if none is accepted.
Citations to each question
Each question becomes one document, and every citation links back to the question in Stack Overflow for Teams.
Incremental sync
New questions and accepted-answer changes are picked up on an hourly sync so the AI's answers reflect your team's latest knowledge without manual re-indexing.
Keep it internal
New Stack Overflow for Teams sources start as Public. Add the source to an internal knowledge base so nothing from it reaches a public-facing deployment.
How to set it up
- 1
In the Kelu dashboard, add a Stack Overflow for Teams source. Enter your team slug and an API token with read access to your team.
- 2
Click Add source. The first sync starts right away.
- 3
Team members can then ask AI questions against the indexed Q&A on Kelu's Ask page or in the Slack and Teams bots, without switching context.

Stack Overflow for Teams — Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about connecting Kelu to Stack Overflow for Teams.
Kelu reads teams hosted on stackoverflowteams.com, named by the team slug after /c/ in the team's URL, through the Stack Overflow for Teams API. The source has no setting for another API address, so a Stack Overflow Enterprise site on its own domain is not supported.
One answer per question: the accepted answer, or the highest-scored answer if none is accepted. A question with no accepted or upvoted answer is indexed without an answer.
Not if you add the source to an internal knowledge base. New Stack Overflow for Teams sources start as Public, so to keep internal Q&A off public-facing client-key widgets, use an internal knowledge base: nothing in one reaches a public surface.
Like any other question. Each question, duplicate or not, is its own document with its own best answer; nothing links a duplicate to the question it points to. Retrieval finds whichever matches best and cites it.
Kelu re-syncs every hour using the Stack Overflow for Teams API. Click Sync Now on the source to sync right away.
